The LWD E4100 Super Protect Waterproof Co Extrusion WPC Decking Board is the ultimate solution for environments where water resistance is non-negotiable. Engineered with a triple-layer co-extrusion process, this decking features an impermeable outer shell, a moisture-resistant core, and a slip-resistant surface, making it ideal for the wettest and most challenging environments—from pool decks in tropical resorts to bathroom floors in coastal homes.
Military-Grade Waterproofing System
The proprietary co-extrusion process fuses three layers:
Outer Layer
1mm ASA polymer coating with a water contact angle of 110°, causing water to bead and roll off, taking dirt with it.
Middle Layer
WPC core infused with hydrophobic additives, reducing water absorption to less than 0.5% by weight.
Inner Layer
Reinforcing fiberglass mesh for dimensional stability, even when submerged for short periods (e.g., flood-prone areas). This system has passed the ASTM D570 water absorption test with flying colors, outperforming both traditional WPC and PVC decking.
Enhanced Safety for Wet Conditions
The surface features a micro-textured finish (Ra 3.2μm roughness) that meets OSHA slip-resistance standards (COF ≥ 0.6 wet), making it safer than polished stone or natural wood when wet. The texture is subtle enough to avoid trapping debris, yet effective enough to provide secure footing in showers, saunas, or poolside zones where barefoot use is common.
Corrosion Resistance for Harsh Environments
In coastal areas, the decking’s polymer shell resists degradation from salt spray (tested via ASTM B117 salt fog chamber for 1,500 hours with zero surface pitting). For commercial kitchens or industrial settings, it withstands exposure to oils, greases, and mild chemicals, as the non-porous surface prevents staining and simplifies cleanup with degreasing agents.
Thermal Shock Resistance
The composite material maintains its structural integrity through rapid temperature changes, a critical feature for areas like ski resorts where decks transition from sub-zero nights to sunny days. Laboratory tests show no cracking after 500 cycles of -20°C to +60°C, ensuring longevity in alpine or desert climates.
Design Flexibility in Wet Zones
Available in four glossy finishes (jet black, pearl white, ocean blue, and stone grey), the decking adds a touch of luxury to bathrooms, spas, and indoor pools. The 20mm thickness allows for installation over radiant heating systems in bathrooms, providing both warmth and waterproofing in a single solution.
Pool & Spa Environments: In luxury resorts, use the pearl white variant for pool decks, where its reflective surface stays cool underfoot and the waterproof core prevents damage from constant chlorinated water exposure. The slip-resistant texture is ideal for kids’ splash pads and elderly care facilities.
Coastal Living: Beachfront homes benefit from the decking’s saltwater resistance, using it for boardwalks, outdoor showers, and even submerged dock areas (when properly supported). The glossy finishes enhance the coastal aesthetic, reflecting the shimmer of the sea.
Commercial Wet Spaces: Gym showers, veterinary clinics, and food processing facilities rely on its easy-to-clean, hygienic surface. The impermeable layer prevents bacteria growth, making it compliant with strict health and safety regulations.
